At Zen Recovery Center, we treat drug and alcohol addiction in men and women at our treatment facility located in Southern California. We get that your loved one or friend may not want to willingly go to treatment so we help families plan interventions for those that need the help. An intervention is an effective way to help your loved one get the addiction treatment that they need. There are different types of interventions, but all are carefully planned and often involve a professional to help moderate the meeting and keep it on a positive level.
If you are participating in an intervention, you need to keep it objective and avoid accusations along with blaming the person that has the addiction. You should point out that the addiction causes negative behavior in them, but that the addiction treatment will help change this. When you want to plan an intervention for a loved one or friend, you can consult with our professional interventionist team at Zen Recovery. We will do our best to help you get your loved one to see that there is a better way of life.
The first step in any intervention involves contacting a professional team like us to help with the process. This can make the difference in an intervention failing or succeeding. During the intervention, a team of family members, friends, and co-workers may be involved to help show the user that everything is and will be okay. Most addicts tend to shy away from help for multiple reasons, but if you come from a loving and supportive place then things will work out more than likely. More often than not, it is better to not include anyone who may be currently struggling with addiction. You will want to schedule a time and day that this meeting will occur and make a guest list for those that should attend. Before any meeting starts, an outline of the meeting and the topics covered should be made. This will only help the process go smoother.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
